About the data

Income: U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2019–2023 5-year estimates — per capita income (B19301) and median income of individuals (B06011), by 2020 census tract; via the Opioid Environment Policy Scan (OEPS) tract tables. Popups also show population, age, race/ethnicity, education, poverty, unemployment, veterans and disability (same ACS release), with county figures for comparison. Tracts with no estimate are shown in gray. Values are estimates with margins of error, especially in small tracts.
Boundaries: Census cartographic boundary files (500k), simplified for web.
Offices: CAFNR Counties and Employees list (PVAMU Extension), consolidated to one marker per office address; program codes are listed per office. Multi-county assignments list all counties served. “Counties Served” outlines follow the PVAMU Extension ArcGIS map layer “CEP Counties MAP 2024” (63 counties); dashed outlines are additional counties assigned in the CAFNR staff list. The HCC Downtown (Harris) location is placed approximately because its source coordinates were outside Texas.
